If newspapers, or anyone else for that matter, make their content publicly available, then other people, organizations, or software have the right to read through and use that content to create a new piece. Not to copy/paste, but to create a new piece--that's "fair use" under copyright law. So, if people have the right to use information available online to create new content, why wouldn't AI be allowed to do the same? Of course, the new content should be original, but I once read a research paper claiming that only 10-15% of all content (including offline content) is truly original. So, "original" is also under question. Anyway, great article👍
