For years I was a die hard supporter of Yukon Gold potatoes. Unwavering.
I believed in the creamy, buttery interior. And the delicate balance of flavor that Yukon Gold provided. I proudly defended them at dinner parties. I would go after anyone who dared to suggest that other potatoes could even compare.
But my world has been turned upside down.
It all started with a simple observation. A tiny crack in the foundation of my potato allegiance. Reluctantly I must announce that I am switching my loyalty to Red Potatoes.
Yeah, I can hear the gasps. “Red Potatoes? Really? After all these years?” Yes, I know it sounds absurd, but let me explain the revelations that have led me to this decision.
It’s not about the taste, texture, or versatility. It’s much more profound and intellectually sound. So much so that you might just be convinced to join me in my potato quest.

Let’s see the name: Yukon Gold. At first, it sounded prestigious, didn’t it? Something about “gold” just screamed luxury and quality.
But the more I thought about it, the more I realized how presumptuous it is. Gold? Really?
