Great list, but...

1. Competition is fierce. There are so many proofreaders and editors out there who have a respectable portfolio. They get hired first.

2. You need to know what you're doing. You can't just put text in ChatGPT and say proofread this. Clients are asking for much, much more.

3. If you know how to properly proofread and edit, upholding quality over time and across different niches is hard.
