I was appalled to learn about this. Hold onto your seats because this one’s a doozy.

This bizarre incident recently unfolded in a Rio suburb and left me scratching my head in disbelief.

So, here’s the lowdown:

A Brazilian woman named Erika Vieira Nunes, 42, decided it was a brilliant idea to wheel a dead man into a bank to try and secure a loan using his signature. Yep, you heard that right. She took a deceased 68-year-old man to the bank in a wheelchair, hoping to get him to sign off on a loan of 17,000 reais (just above 3,000 USD).

Can you imagine the audacity? The poor man had been dead for hours, and there she was, trying to make him sign paperwork. The man’s face had “no color,” and he was completely unresponsive. Yet, Nunes went ahead with her absurd plan, holding a pen and moving the man’s hand in a feeble attempt to make it look like he was signing.

Let’s break this down for a second. Nunes allegedly tried to secure a loan for more than $3,000 by using a dead man’s signature. I mean, the sheer level of deception and disregard for common decency is just mind-boggling.
